Homemade Pizza

Eating pizza from a pizza chain can be very expensive, even for our family of 3. We always order 2 large, because we like cold pizza for breakfast. Faves are pepperoni and extra cheese, or ham and pineapple. From a chain, these would cost around $20. For less than $5, I can make 2 large pizza's that are (in my opinion) better than than the chain versions. We like A LOT of cheese, and are picky about the sauce.

This is the crust recipe I use. It will make 2 large thin crust, or 1 large regular crust.
1 packet yeast
1/2 t. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 t. salt
2 T. EVOO
3 1/3 c. flour (white, wheat, or a mixture of both)

Dissolve yeast and brown sugar in water, let it sit there for 10 minutes. Stir in salt and oil. Mix in 2 1/2 c. flour.

Turn the dough onto a clean, well floured surface. Knead in more flour until the dough is no longer sticking to your hands. Place the dough in a well oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled. This should take about an hour.

Punch down the dough, roll into a tight ball, and let the dough rest for 5 minutes. Spray your pizza pan(s) with Pam or use some type of grease.

Divide into 2 approximately equal lumps. Roll out directly into the pans, let rise in the pan for 15 minutes (I usually skip this step).
Bake @ 425* for about 10 minutes, remove from oven.

Add sauce and toppings of your choice. Return to oven for another 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and toppings are hot. Enjoy

That sounds easy. I might actually give it a shot. Anything needing yeast and I do not usually get along! LOL! BTW, where is the recipe for the sauce? LOL
