My last post on canning corn brought some very helpful comments. Thank you, Milehimama and Theresa, for pointing out the difference between water-bath and pressure canning methods. Disposal of the botulism corn, as it is now referred to, has been delegated to the Honey Do list for tonight, just in time for trash pick up tomorrow. I'm chalking that one up to live and learn. And, a new appreciation for the official "sniff test" that I give all foods, whether home canned or store bought, before serving them.
