Christmas Catch Up

Christmas went really great here. We all got nice gifts that we enjoyed.
Son's big gift was a Wii, from hubby and I. Each of our parents, as well as hubby's sister, got him a different game to go with it. We also bought him a few new clothes and small gifts Santa brought board games and coloring books and other arts and craft type activities.
Hubby bought me some new PJ's, a stainless steel trash can for my office area in the house, and toaster oven. I bought him a CD player and installation kit for his truck, some PJ pants, and a new Bible, his old one was literally falling apart.
We enjoyed several Christmas dinners with family and friends, getting to see some new babies of my cousins that I had not yet seen. We also enjoyed just visiting with friends.

After Christmas, we got in a "we have too much stuff" mood, so we started cleaning, tossing, and de-cluttering. So far, we have taken 4 pick up truck loads FULL to Goodwill. I still need to clean out the kitchen desk (an old computer armoire with doors that is a great "stash and dash" hole, son's room, and all of our clothing. We also rearranged the living room furniture, and have so much more room than before. I'm off to work on son's room a bit more now, and will post about my New Year's goals a bit later.

I use to have a pillow with a cross stitch saying on it, "A Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to a person who isnt" A friends dogg I was sitting for ruined it... Maybe I will make another one.

Anonymous, I love that saying! And more often than not, it is true.
