Weekend doings, a hot date, and more

We had a wonderfully busy weekend! On Friday night, we had the annual Chili Supper and bookfair at son's school. Afterward, hubby and our pastor took the youth group (fifth grade on up) on a scavenger hunt through the town, while I took son to his soccer game. We tied the other team, 2-2. Final game for the fall season is this Friday night.

Saturday, our church had a cookout at one of our member's homes. I made a pasta salad and a fruit salad to take with us (my recipes are below). We also had grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken, macaroni and cheese, assorted salads and veggie trays, chips, dips, and a beautiful dessert table piled with brownies, cakes, rice crispy treats, and tons of other goodies.
Son wanted to spend the night with Nanny and Poppy, and my parents were glad to oblige, so hubby and I had a hot date. Want to hear about what we did?.....We rented a few movies from Blockbuster, and fell asleep before we finished watching them. We're such a boring married couple :)
Sunday, after church, we came home, finished watching the movies, and then just spent the rest of the afternoon being lazy and enjoying every moment of it.
